ARGENTINA: Milei to pull out of WHO

President Javier Milei announced on 5 February his intention to withdraw Argentina from the World Health Organization (WHO). Following the lead of his ideological bedfellow US President Donald Trump last month, Milei highlighted “profound differences” with the WHO over its handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and even mooted accusing its director-general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, of “crimes against humanity” before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
