BRAZIL | Vale’s annual iron ore production rises. Brazil’s largest mining company, Vale, released its fourth quarter production results on 28 January. Its main product, iron ore, registered a quarterly production figure of 85.28m tonnes (t), while annual production totalled 327.66m t. This quarterly figure was down 4.6% compared with the same quarter in 2023 and down 6.3% from the third quarter of 2024, but the annual figure rose by 2.0% from the previous year.
