In brief: Peru’s exports to EU rise

*Peru’s association of exporters (Adex) has announced that exports to the European Union (EU) totalled US$6.68bn between January and October, representing a 17.7% increase on the same period in 2023. According to Adex data cited by the state news agency Andina, Peru’s top exports to the EU during this period were agroindustrial products (US$2.46bn) and mining exports (US$2.25bn). Peru’s main export markets within the EU were the Netherlands (US$1.96bn, +35.4% year-on-year), Spain (US$1.65bn, +9.5%), and Germany (US$714m, -10.4%).
