In brief: Uruguay’s inflation increases slightly in November

*Uruguay’s national statistics institute (INE) has released its consumer price index (IPC) for November, showing a monthly inflation rate of 0.36%. This marks an increase from the 0.33% monthly inflation registered in October. The annual inflation rate in November stood at 5.03%, which is up from 5.01% in the previous month. The category with the highest monthly inflation rate in November was transport, which saw prices rise by 1.72%. The only category to register monthly deflation was food and non-alcoholic drinks (-0.26%).
