BRAZIL | Carbon market bill passes hurdle. The senate approved a bill on 13 November which proposes a regulatory framework for the trading of carbon credits. The bill seeks to establish the ‘Sistema Brasileiro de Comércio de Emissões de Gases de Efeito Estufa’ (SBCE), a system to which companies will need to register in order to be allowed to trade carbon credits in Brazil.
