MEXICO: Toyota invests in Mexico despite US tariff concerns
Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has announced it is investing US$1.45bn this year in its two manufacturing plants in Baja California and Guanajuato states. The news comes amid uncertainty surrounding Mexico’s automotive industry following the re-election of former president (2017-2021) Donald Trump in the US.
