PERU: UN report calls Fujimori-era sterilisations ‘crime against humanity’
On 30 October the United Nations (UN) Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (Cedaw) declared that forced sterilisations under the government of Peru’s late former president Alberto Fujimori (1990-2000) could constitute a crime against humanity.
