Another round of palace intrigue has adjusted the balance of power in President Nicolás Maduro’s government. Two months after a sweeping cabinet reshuffle that saw Maduro reward his closest allies following the disputed 28 July presidential election, a second purge saw the industry & production minister, Colonel Pedro Tellechea, arrested on 21 October and accused of working for the US government.
