HONDURAS: Charges filed in high-profile environmental case
On 24 September Honduras’ attorney general’s office presented legal action against 13 individuals linked to local companies Inversiones Los Pinares and Inversiones Ecotek, both part of business conglomerate Grupo Emco, for alleged responsibility in environmental damage to Carlos Escaleras national park in Tocoa municipality, Colón department.
