BOLIVIA: Tensions soar over ‘March to Save Bolivia’

Former president Evo Morales (2006-2019) and some 5,000 of his supporters embarked on 17 September on a so-called ‘March to Save Bolivia’. It has been described in equally existential terms as a “March of Death” by Interior Minister Eduardo del Castillo, and by President Luis Arce as the opening move in a “coup d’état”.
