*Honduras’ government led by President Xiomara Castro has presented its budget proposal for 2025, which outlines L430.91bn (US$17.35bn) in planned spending. The budget is 5.8% larger than the approved budget for 2024, and includes planned public and social investment of L97.65bn. The budget also outlines L67.31bn for debt servicing, and plans for a fiscal deficit of L24.70bn – equivalent to 2.5% of GDP.
