*Mexico’s national social security institute (IMSS) has released a new report showing it had registered 22.39m jobs as of 31 August – an increase of 58,047 as compared to the end of July. With this figure, the IMSS has registered an increase of 392,960 jobs in the past 12 months, equating to a yearly increase of 1.8%. The economic sectors with the highest annual percentage growth in jobs were transportation and communications (+5.2%), commerce (+3.2%), and social & communal services (+2.6%).
