BRAZIL | Government submits 2025 budget proposal. The federal government led by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva submitted its proposal for the 2025 budget (PLOA) to congress on 30 August. The proposed federal budget for next year stands at R$5.87tn (US$1.04tn), up from the approved budget of R$5.57tn for 2024.
