MEXICO: López Obrador fills Zócalo for farewell Informe

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador took to the Zócalo, the main square in Mexico City (CDMX), to deliver his sixth and final state-of-the-nation address, known as the ‘Informe’, on 1 September. With less than a month left of his presidency, López Obrador’s popularity and influence show no signs of dwindling, as large crowds came to listen to the president’s two-hour speech in which he extolled the legacy he will leave behind.
