*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has published its latest consumer price index, putting monthly inflation in July at 4.0%. This was down from 4.6% in June, and brought annual inflation in July to 263.4% – down from 271.5% the previous month. The steepest monthly price rises in July were in the categories of restaurants & hotels (+6.5%), alcoholic drinks & tobacco (+6.1%), housing, water, electricity, gas & other fuels (+6.0%), and healthcare (+5.8%).
