URUGUAY: Presidential favourites coast to victory

Uruguay’s primary elections on 30 June confirmed that the country’s next president is likely to be one of two candidates: Yamandú Orsi, of the main left-wing Frente Amplio (FA) opposition coalition, or Álvaro Delgado, of President Luis Alberto Lacalle Pou’s centre-right Partido Nacional (PN, Blancos), the party which enjoys most support within the ruling five-party coalition.
