BRAZIL: Meta banned from training AI with user data
On 2 July Brazil’s national authority for data protection (ANPD), tied to the justice & public security ministry, ordered the suspension of the new data privacy policy of US tech giant Meta, which had allowed users' data to be used to train artificial intelligence (AI) models.
