*Ricardo Roa, the president of Colombia’s state oil company, Ecopetrol, has said that the company expects to begin importing natural gas from Venezuela next year in order to guarantee supply on the Colombian market. Roa said that Ecopetrol and Venezuela’s state oil company, Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa), have been discussing the launch of Venezuelan gas flows along the Trans-Caribbean pipeline, also known as the Antonio Ricaurte pipeline. He said that it would take 10-14 months for Colombia to begin receiving gas imports from Venezuela.
