*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has announced that 119,985 light vehicles were sold in the domestic market in May, up 12.35% on May 2023. In the first five months of 2024, 585,721 light vehicles were sold in the domestic market, up 12.74% on the same period in 2023. According to the same report, 365,574 light vehicles were produced in May 2024, up 4.93% on the same month in 2023, while in the first five months of 2024, 1.65m light vehicles were produced, up 5.55% on the same period in 2023. As regards exports, 310,655 light vehicles were exported in May 2024, up 12.98% on May 2023, while in the first five months of 2024, 1.43m light vehicles were exported, up 12.33% on the same period in 2023.
