REGION: ‘Credible’ human rights issues widespread within Caricom

The US Department of State’s annual human rights report for 2023 was published on 22 April. In its assessment of the 14 sovereign member states of the Caribbean Community (Caricom), only three were deemed to be free of significant human rights issues during 2023, namely Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, and St Kitts & Nevis.
