*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released its latest quarterly indicator of economic activity from tourism, showing that in the fourth quarter of 2023, the country’s tourism GDP was down 0.2% on the previous quarter while the domestic tourism consumption indicator was up 0.2%. In annual terms, tourism GDP grew by 5.5% in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the domestic tourism consumption indicator dropped by 1.7%.
