*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has published new figures which show that the country’s external debt totalled US$285.95bn in the fourth quarter of 2023, up US$1.62bn on the previous quarter. Indec highlights as a reason for the rise, an increase of US$4.74bn registered in the debt of non-financial corporations, households, and non-profit institutions serving households (NPISHs).
