ARGENTINA: Milei courts controversy over dictatorship
On 24 March political tensions surrounded Argentina’s Day of Memory to mark the 48th anniversary of the coup d’état as the government led by President Javier Milei released a video on social media on which the claim was made that the figure of 30,000 people forcibly disappeared during the military dictatorship (1976-1983) had been “invented”.
