ARGENTINA: Gov't proposes giving military public security role
On 21 March Argentina’s defence minister, Luis Petri, and public security minister, Patricia Bullrich, announced that the government would be presenting congress with bills to reform the penal code and tackle drug trafficking, including one that would allow the armed forces to participate in public security efforts.
