*Chile’s national statistics institute (INE) has released the consumer price index (IPC) for February, which shows monthly inflation of 0.6% and annual inflation of 4.5%. Monthly inflation was down from 0.7% in January, but annual inflation was up from 3.8%. Of the 13 categories measured in the IPC, eight registered price increases in monthly terms, with the INE highlighting increases in transport (+1.4%) and housing & basic services (+0.9%). Four categories registered price decreases, with the INE highlighting recreation, sports & culture (-0.4%).
