Jumbo freighter struggles with political turbulence
At 1.30 in the morning on 12 February a Venezuelan-owned 747-300M Dreamliner freight plane took off from Argentina’s Ezeiza international airport outside Buenos Aires and flew to the US where it was confiscated by the authorities. The Venezuelan government led by President Nicolás Maduro reacted angrily promising a “forceful, direct and proportionate response to this attack”.
