GUYANA/VENEZUELA: Tensions build over Venezuelan military deployment
On 9 February Guyana’s Foreign Minister Hugh Todd told the foreign media that the deployment of Venezuelan troops and military assets to the border of the disputed Essequibo region reflect “inconsistencies” between Venezuela’s “diplomatic and military posture”.
