*Octavio Romero Oropeza, the CEO of Mexico’s state-run oil company, Pemex, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Venezuela’s oil minister, Pedro Tellechea, who is also the president of state oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa). According to a statement from Pemex, the agreement aims to boost cooperation on hydrocarbons, as well as increasing the exchange of technical and regulatory knowledge and best practices in the hydrocarbon value chain. This comes after Romero met with Tellechea in Venezuela’s capital Caracas earlier this month.
