*Peru’s main extractive lobby, the Sociedad Nacional de Minería, Petróleo y Energía (SNMPE), has announced that the country’s mining exports totalled US$3.53bn in November 2023 – up 22.6% on the same month the previous year. Accumulated mining exports from January to November 2023 totalled US$38.67bn, up 11.7% on the same period in 2022. Copper exports in November were up 22.7% year-on-year to total US$1.87bn, while gold exports were up by 35.7% year-on-year at US$1.06bn.
