*Peru’s national statistics institute (Inei) has released figures showing that the country’s economic output increased by 0.29% in November 2023 compared with the same month the previous year. However, economic output across the 12 months to November was down by 0.42%. Inei highlighted year-on-year growth in fishing (+60.96%), mining and hydrocarbons (+8.04%), agriculture (+1.19%), trade (+1.30%), and transport, storage, and postal services (+1.45%), among other sectors. However, there was a year-on-year drop in output for sectors including construction (-8.05%), telecommunications (-4.47%), finance and insurance (-5.25%), and manufacturing (-0.51%).
