BRAZIL: Gov’t to boost security in Yanomami indigenous reserve

On 9 January Brazil’s government led by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced that it will allocate R$1.2bn (US$245m) in 2024 to fund security initiatives in the country’s largest demarcated indigenous reserve, the Yanomami territory.
