*Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) has released new figures which show that international reserves reached US$212.76bn as of 29 December 2023, up from US$199.09bn at the end of 2022. In a report released at the end of October 2023 the International Monetary Fund (IMF) described Mexico’s international reserves as being at “comfortable levels” and forecast international reserves would close 2023 at US$212.3bn, rising to US$224.5bn in 2024.
