* Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has reported that in September the monthly index of economic activity (Emae) was flat compared with the previous month, while in year-on-year terms it registered a 0.7% decline. In year-on-year terms, growth was registered in eleven sectors, including fishing (+8.9%), electricity, gas & water (+7.2%), and exploitation of mining & quarries (+6.1%). Indec highlighted the manufacturing industry (down 3.6% year-on-year) and wholesale, retail, and repairs (-1.1%) as the sectors to have had the biggest impact in the fall in Emae.
