BRAZIL: São Paulo privatisation debates reignited amid extreme weather

On 16 November Ricardo Nunes, the mayor of São Paulo city, in south-eastern Brazil, announced that he had asked the federal electricity regulator (Aneel) to cancel the contract of Italian energy company Enel, which provides electricity in the São Paulo metropolitan area.
