BRAZIL | Quarterly rise in Vale’s iron ore production. The Brazilian mining company Vale released its third quarter production results on 17 October. The mining giant produced 86.24m tonnes (t) of iron ore in Q3 2023. This marks a 9.5% increase from the 78.74m t produced in the previous quarter, although this figure is also down 3.9% compared with the 89.7m t produced in Q3 2022.
