MEXICO | Trade slowed by migrant surge. Chihuahua’s state government issued a statement on 3 October saying that economic losses in the state generated by the migration crisis reached US$76.6m the previous day. The statement added that accumulated damages since 18 September totalled US$947.9m, due to the decrease in the passage of cargo trucks through international crossings. It called on the federal government to address the influx of migrants in Chihuahua.
