REGION: Caribbean countries continue to dominate CBI programmes
The 2023 Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Index lists 12 programmes, of which five are in the Caribbean – and those five Caribbean countries occupy the top five slots in the CBI Index. They are, with their rankings in brackets: St Kitts & Nevis (1st), Dominica (2nd), Grenada (joint 3rd), St Lucia (joint 3rd), and Antigua & Barbuda (5th). This is an impressive result at a time of increasing pressure on CBI programmes from the main Western powers, particularly the US and the European Union, to embrace stricter regulations and enhanced due diligence.
