BRAZIL: Military police says 8 January rioters were ‘organised’
On 12 September the joint committee of inquiry (CPMI) in Brazil’s congress investigating anti-democratic acts invited a corporal of the capital region’s military police force (PMDF), Marcela da Silva Morais Pinno, to recount the events of 8 January, when supporters of the right-wing former president Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2023) stormed the seats of government in Brasília.
