Mexico’s leftist opposition-aligned Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) will field its own candidate in the 2024 presidential elections and will not compete as an alliance, the MC’s leader Dante Delgado has confirmed. Delgado has repeatedly rejected calls to enter an alliance with the centrist opposition Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), right-wing Partido Acción Nacional (PAN), and left-wing Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD).
