Argentina’s economy minister, Sergio Massa, the presidential candidate for the ruling left-of-centre Unión por la Patria (UP) coalition, visited Washington from 21-23 August for talks with financial institutions and members of US President Joe Biden’s administration. He returned to Buenos Aires having won significant funding pledges.
