BRAZIL: Bolsonaro allies targeted in jewellery probe
On 11 August Brazil’s federal police (PF) carried out four search and seizure warrants targeting allies of the former president Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2023), as part of Operation ‘Lucas 12:2’, an investigation launched that day into potential acts of corruption and money laundering involving expensive jewellery gifted to Bolsonaro by the government of Saudi Arabia.
