In brief: Mexico’s annual inflation continues to slow

* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the latest figures for the consumer price index (INPC), which show that monthly inflation in July was 0.48% compared to the previous month, up from 0.10% in June. However annual inflation was down to 4.79% from 5.06% in June. Core inflation stood at 0.39% in July from 0.30% in June, standing at 6.64% in annual terms down from 6.89% in June.
