* The business lobby for Brazil’s industrial sector Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI) has released its industrial indicators report for June, which revealed figures on revenue and job creation for the sector. From May to June, the industrial sector’s revenue saw a 1.0% rise. However, the monthly rise was not able to offset the relatively weak performance from the industrial sector in the first half of 2023, which saw a 0.2% year-on-year drop in revenue. In terms of employment figures, the number of industrial sector jobs remained the same from May to June, although the accumulated employment for the first six months of 2023 saw a 0.8% increase compared to the same period in 2022.
