MEXICO: Campaign trail turns to healthcare

The presidential pre-candidates for Mexico’s 2024 elections are continuing their pre-campaigns in force with both the ruling left-wing Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (Morena) and the Frente Amplio por México (FAM) - the rebranded Va por México opposition coalition - set to select their final candidates at the beginning of September. Morena’s Marcelo Ebrard, until recently the foreign minister, who has arguably been the clearest in terms of policy, this week presented his proposals for revamping Mexico’s healthcare system.
