* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the latest figures for sales of light vehicles, which reveal that 110,843 vehicles were sold in July 2023, a yearly increase of 32.6%. According to Inegi, 743,930 light cars were sold in Mexico during the first seven months of the year, a 23.6% increase from the 602,022 cars sold during the same period last year. The figures for July 2023 are the third highest for a month so far this year, representing a 2.4% decrease from the 113,553 units sold in June 2023.
