* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has published findings from its 2022 national survey of household income and expenditure (Enigh) which show an increase in the average household income for that year. According to the statistics, the average household income per quarter was M$63,695 (US$3,802) in 2022, up 11% from 2020 when the average stood at M$50,309, up 4.6% in relation to 2018, and up 0.2% as compared to 2016. This follows a slump in household income between the 2018 and 2020 reports.
