* Chile’s President Gabriel Boric has met with representatives of the French business community in Paris to discuss investment and bolster trade ties. Speaking at the Sorbonne university, Boric stressed the links of friendship and culture, as well as economic ties, between Chile and France. On Twitter, Boric stated that Chile was a country “with tremendous opportunities to advance towards fair and sustainable development”, saying the meeting had the aim of “boosting investment and strengthening our ties”. The trip is part of a wider European tour which has also seen Boric visit Spain, Belgium, and Switzerland.
