In brief: Mexico growth forecasts up in June

* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released is latest preliminary indicator of economic activity (IOAE), which estimates that productive activity was up 4% in June 2023 in yearly terms and by 0.2% as compared to the previous month. Inegi estimates an annual increase of 2.8% in activities in the secondary sector (manufacturing) and 4.3% in the tertiary sector (services). In monthly terms, Inegi estimates secondary activities were up 0.1% and tertiary by 0.2% as compared to May. This compares with IOAE estimates of 0.4% monthly growth and 3.6% annual growth in May.
