BOLIVIA: Morales and Arce trade corruption allegations

Tensions between President Luis Arce and former ally and predecessor Evo Morales (2006-2019) continue to simmer with supporters of both trading accusations of corruption. The dispute between the two onetime close allies continued to play out this week, with government officials and some trade unions rallying around Arce, while Morales continues to command the allegiance of most members of congress representing the left-wing Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) party as well as other grassroots organisations.
