MEXICO | Remittances continue upwards trend. On 3 July, Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) announced that remittances to Mexico totalled US$5.69bn, a 10.7% increase year-on-year. In the first five months of 2023, remittances totalled US$24.67bn, a 10.3% increase on the US$22.37bn received in the same period of the previous year. Remittances are currently on track to surpass the record US$58.49bn received last year.
